Cheers to Sydney: The Taphouse and Elm Rooftop Bar are slinging 49% off every menu item this November

Following a lengthy 107 days in lockdown, in big ol’ cheers to Sydney, Darlinghurst’s The Taphouse and Elm Rooftop Bar will be slashing49% off every single menu item this November. And yes, that means almost half price off all food and drinks through the workweek between 5pm-7pm, so your after-work plans just got a hell of a lot better.

“We are stoked to be doing what we can to bring the good times back to our beautiful city,” comments The Taphouse owner, Joshua Thorpe. “We want to launch into the sillyseason with a bang, giving everyone an excuse to get out and have fun.”

As the days get longer and the nights get warmer, Elm Rooftop Bar, perched above The Taphouse, is the perfect open-air destination, with its newly refreshed summer cocktail menu. Think festoon lighting, leafy greenery and laid-back vibes to sit back and sip, with an outlook of Centennial Parklands.

New drink additions such as ‘Black Jack Fizz,’ a sublime blackberry Jack Daniel’s cocktail and the punchy new jalapeño infused ‘Spicy Margarita’ are bound to be sure-fire favourites. Sitting at under $10; with half-price Espresso Martinis and dangerously moreish charcuterie share plates, you really can’t go wrong.

Throughout lockdown, Head Chef, Axel Chilton, cultivated a delicious brand new Texas-style smokehouse food menu. From succulent smoked meats and southern fried chicken sandwiches to traditional pub favourites or even watermelon vegan ‘tuna’, they’ve covered all bases, with mouth-watering options for meat-lovers, vegetarians and vegans, too!

Weighing in as Sydney’s most awarded beer venue, The Taphouse has a widely diverse range of five hundred beers on rotation each year and over sixty beers to choose from on tap. Specialising in craft beers from strictly independent breweries, The Taphouse also boasts Australia’s largest bottled beer list of wild ales and sours and with over 100 to choose from, punters are spoilt for choice.

Enjoy your favourite tipple for almost half the price or try something such as the Cosmic Liquid Kiss Hazy IPA by Yeastie Boys, notes of gooseberry and citrus make it the perfect summer bevvy — be warned, it goes down like a treat.

Running alongside includes Doggo Rooftop Trivia every Monday night where you can BYO furry companion and test your general trivia knowledge. The dazzling new edition to Friday night lineup is Sydney drag queen royalty, Sia Tequila; join the pop princess every Friday from 7pm for an iconic performance full of energy and flair.
